Residencies

Overview

DoremiResidency is an annual, peripatetic group residency that invites emerging artists from around the country to Cumbria to forge links between artists and arts organisations working in urban and rural settings.

Each year the week-long residency is hosted by a different arts organisation based in Cumbria. Over the week participating artists have access to the onsite facilities and expertise unique to the host. There is a programme of events introducing artists to the area and the local community, offering opportunities to collaborate, run workshops or just get some good insider knowledge or inspiration. The residency then culminates in an Open Weekend and exhibition of work made over the week.

Selection Process

We do not currently run an open call, instead each year artist participants are selected by partners from around the country (see below for full list of partners).
