Merlin Fulcher
Merlin Fulcher is a writer focusing on the United Kingdom’s landscape, politics and historical imagination. His work — split between poetry, performance and architectural journalism — draws on textual research, cartography, satellite imagery, direct observation and conversations. He is competitions editor of The Architects’ Journal and Architectural Review and a contributor to other design and construction industry publications. His collection of poems ‘Modern Air’ — exploring regeneration in the West Midlands — was published by Different Skies in 2014. He is currently working with The Architecture Foundation on a series of Doughnut Outer London Walking Tours exploring transformation in eight key areas within the capital’s rapidly transforming periphery. This year he founded the Medieval Tourist Company which hosts regular weekend outings to historical, abandoned and lesser-known mythical sites in southern England.
